The Joy Blooms Story

Hi, I’m Kristie — the heart behind Joy Blooms.

This little home floral studio began in one of the hardest seasons of my life. When my husband was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2021, I was deeply overwhelmed with sadness, uncertainty, and an ache I didn’t know how to carry.

I had been buying bouquets of flowers weekly, and it always brightened my spirit and put a smile on my face. Then, one day, when they didn't have a bouquet, I particularly liked I decided to pick out some flowers and arrange them myself. That was the beginning. Sitting in a quiet room filled with beautiful flowers, the creativity began to flow. Their colors, textures, and quiet beauty delivered a sense of solace I desperately needed — and slowly, joy began to bloom in me again.

As I continued arranging flowers, it became clear this wasn’t just a hobby. It was healing. It was a purpose. And, it was God gently reminding me that “He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

From that promise, Joy Blooms was born.

Today, I create thoughtful, one-of-a-kind arrangements with the intention of sparking that same joy in others. My specialty is floral subscriptions — weekly, biweekly, or monthly designs that brighten homes, offices, and everyday moments. I also craft special arrangements for celebrations, milestones, and those simple but memorable “just because” gestures.

I don’t use recipes or mass-production methods. Every arrangement is created in the moment — guided by color, creativity, and prayerful intention. I hope that when someone receives flowers from Joy Blooms, they feel appreciated, uplifted, and surrounded by the same comfort God gave me.

Joy Blooms is more than a business to me. It’s a testimony. It’s healing. And, it’s my way of sharing the beauty God can grow even in the hardest soil.

“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.” Psalm 126:5
